Travel Diaries | Puerto Rico

Back in January I went to visit two of my best friends in Puerto Rico for a week. They live on opposite sides of the island, so we spent half of the week in San Juan, then had a fun road trip over to Mayaguez. It was such a relaxing week full of adventures and fun on the beach.

I was greeted with the cutest signs ever at the airport.

We swam in a waterfall! One of the coolest experiences I have ever had.

We also went zip-lining which was on my bucket list of adventures!

We are so very sorry of the delay of this post. We both have been extremely busy. 

Day 36: Shelby's obsession with soy latte's and cookies has gotten a little out of hand.

Day 37: Shelby and her friend Allix spontaneously decided to get matching ear piercings!

Day 38: We watched the Olympics opening ceremonies!

Day 39: We've recently tried a new chinese restaurant that delivers right to our door!

Day 40: It was time for a run to Trader Joe's to pick up some of our favorite things.

Day 41: Shelby has recently discovered some vegetables she likes to eat. Who would have ever thought this day would come!?

Day 42: Our mom sent us Red Velvet flavored M&M's. They are fantastic!

Ashley and I are both trying to catch up on our lives. Coming up next I am finally going to get my post on my trip to Puerto Rico up! Stay tuned!

Photo A Day | Week 5

Week five was filled with lots of food- some healthy, some not so healthy, some football, and you guessed it- more snow. 

 Day 29: We've been making a lot of smoothies lately. These are some of our favorite ingredients. 

 Day 30: Got our groceries delivered! Love Fresh Direct!

Day 31: Pixie still isn't feeling well :(

 Day 32: Super Bowl weekend! Since the game was being played in the area Times Square was filled with various Super Bowl themed activites. Shelby met up with some friends to explore; Ashley had zero desire to mingle with the masses in Times Square :)

 Day 33: Super Bowl Sunday or as we prefer to refer to it Puppy Bowl Day! Ashley made chili and we tried these fajita flavored scoops...very yummy!

 Day 34: Woke up to a surprise blizzard. We took a little snow walk in the evening around our neighborhood. 

Day 35: We love surprise care packages from our Dad! This time was some yummy El Fenix goodies and some very delicious cupcakes! Thanks Dad, we love you!

The One With The Snow

We got another surprise blizzard in NYC today. When I went to bed last night there was a 30% chance of snow for a few hours overnight. No big deal. However, when I woke up it was blizzarding. I immediately checked the weather and it said we were supposed to get 10 inches of snow! I would love to know how we went from a 30% chance to a blizzard in a matter of hours but that's besides the point. 

Today was a big day...cookie dough oreos were released!!

Shelby and I walked all over the Upper East Side tonight in search of them but sadly they were no where to be found. The stupid blizzard must have delayed the deliveries or something. The snow was still in the pretty stage. By tomorrow it will be a brown mushy mess. So, we snapped a few photos if you want to see.
