The One With The Snow

We got another surprise blizzard in NYC today. When I went to bed last night there was a 30% chance of snow for a few hours overnight. No big deal. However, when I woke up it was blizzarding. I immediately checked the weather and it said we were supposed to get 10 inches of snow! I would love to know how we went from a 30% chance to a blizzard in a matter of hours but that's besides the point. 

Today was a big day...cookie dough oreos were released!!

Shelby and I walked all over the Upper East Side tonight in search of them but sadly they were no where to be found. The stupid blizzard must have delayed the deliveries or something. The snow was still in the pretty stage. By tomorrow it will be a brown mushy mess. So, we snapped a few photos if you want to see.

Fun on a Snowy Saturday

Yesterday it snowed in NYC (yes, again) so since that was hopefully the last time it snowed this season we decided to talk a walk and say goodbye to winter. We would love to share a few of the pictures we took along the way.

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas

It SNOWED on Christmas Day in Dallas. This is only the second White Christmas I've experienced. Well actually, since we were at our grandparents house we missed the snow on Christmas Day. But when we returned home the next day it was all still there. So, of course we had to go play in it :)

 Pixie usually hates the snow but this time she was walking around and didn't seem to mind it. Usually she just stands in one place and shakes until I pick her up.

Ok, now we should be all caught up! We have some fun things planned for the rest of the month so make sure you check back to see what we are up to :)

Snow!!

Just one week after hurricane sandy NYC got hit with a snowstorm. So many people are still without power and have damage to their homes and this just contributed to the mess. However, being from Texas, snow still excited us. We had a little adventure into the blizzard last night.

 We did get snow in Dallas but it was generally just about once a year. Because it always felt like a magical treat when it snowed going out and playing in it was always on the agenda when the opportunity presented itself.

 

Our friend Chandler was displaced by Sandy and she's staying with us. She's also from Dallas so she happily joined in our snow adventure. 

 I think it's time i finally break down and buy some winter boots. It was extremely hard to walk in this.

 

Shelby made a snowball. 

  

 

 

Sisters in the Snow :)

 We ended up getting about 5 inches of snow wich broke all kinds of records. So crazy. If the past couple of weeks are any indication I have a feeling this is only the beginning of the crazy weather.
