Spring 2013 Internship: Jessica Simpson

Hello Everyone!
So if you didn't know, this semester I am interning with Jessica Simpson. I'm a sales intern in their dress department. For you fashionistas, Jessica licenses out her dresses to a company called G-III. That's who's office I am in. I have successfully completed three days of my internship and I absolutely love it. I have already learned so much. I cant wait to see what else I get to do.

Here is the view from my desk on the 38th floor.

As an intern, I'm stuck doing most of the grunt work. I have done a lot of running to the mailroom, delivering dresses around the garment district, dressing mannequins to take pictures, and making line sheets.

Today we were having an approval meeting in the office. This is a huge thing that took a lot of preparing. Jessica didn't come in today, but her mom and team were here. I did a lot of coffee runs and various errands for Tina. It was such a cool experience. I also got the privilege of wearing one of the dresses for the new line today. I'm in love!

Interning has been such a cool experience so far! I can't wait to update you all soon with more details!

Until next time
XOXO

Ed Sheeran Concert: Dallas

Hello Everyone! We both apologize for our unintentional hiatus! We both have been extremely busy. I have been taking a winter semester class, and Ash has been busy with work! But no fear we are both back in NYC and ready to take on 2013! Last week when I was still in Dallas I went to Ed Sheeran's concert at the Palladium Ballroom. If you don't know who he is you should really check him out. He is phenomenal! Here are some of my highlights!

One of my great friends Allie was there with me, along with our friends Meredith and Jessica.

Since the concert was General Admission we got there at 9:30 AM the morning of to secure a spot close to the front. There were still about 30 people in line ahead of us!

We called Pizza Hut and had them deliver to our spot in line for lunch!

Rizzle Kicks, one of his opening acts!

Rizzle Kicks!

Foy Vance, his other opening act!

Finally Time for Ed! It's just him, he doesn't have a band. Before each song he records the bass, backup vocals, and drums on a loop pedal then plays guitar as he sings. It's absolutely incredible!

 Amazing shot!

 Ed!

If you would like to see videos from the concert I will be uploading them to my youtube channel here

Until next time
XOXO

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas

It SNOWED on Christmas Day in Dallas. This is only the second White Christmas I've experienced. Well actually, since we were at our grandparents house we missed the snow on Christmas Day. But when we returned home the next day it was all still there. So, of course we had to go play in it :)

Pixie usually hates the snow but this time she was walking around and didn't seem to mind it. Usually she just stands in one place and shakes until I pick her up.
Ok, now we should be all caught up! We have some fun things planned for the rest of the month so make sure you check back to see what we are up to :)
Until next time
XOXO

Holidays in Texas

Sorry for the impromptu blogging break. The holidays were so busy and filled with catching up with friends and family in Texas. We had a nice and relaxing break. Actually, Shelby is still in Texas enjoying her break from school but I'm back in NYC. We wanted to share a few pictures from the holidays.

I had the pleasure of meeting Blitzen at the Dallas Arboretum.

We celebrate our immediate family Christmas on Christmas Eve and then we go to our grandparent's house on Christmas Day to celebrate with the extended family. The past several years the girls have all worn matching pj's. This years leopard print might be my favorite so far. I know this picture looks like we are wearing onesies but I promise we are not :)

 Pixie loves Christmas!

How cute is our Dad in his Christmas bow tie?

Road tripping to the grandparents house. It was really weird to drive again!

Shelby and our brother Ethan. You can see the aftermath of our present opening behind them, ha ha.

Christmas is my favorite holiday and I was so glad Shelby and I got to go back to Texas to celebrate with our friends and family.

Until next time
XOXO
