Photo A Day | Week 12

This week was filled with commuting adventures, sleepovers, ice cream, and the start of SPRING!

Day 78: Ashley's intern. Obviously she sleeps on the job.

Day 79: A day in the life of a NYC commuter.
Day 80: Keslie stayed with us her last night in NYC! We won't discuss what happened right after this photo was taken. Let's just say Shelby REALLY didn't want to be separated from Keslie anymore :). The evening consisted of thai food, coffee bean, insomnia cookies, and the Devil Wears Prada.
Day 81: It was a beautiful Saturday (we've been lucky with the warm days falling on the weekends) so we took advantage and went to grab ice cream with Pixie to celebrate spring.
Day 82: A day in the life of a NYC commuter part two. This is one of the tamest things one would see on the subway train. I was just mad this guy was taking up so many seats. He was sleeping HARD too. Wonder how long he stayed on that train...
Day 83: Thank goodness for Amazon. La Croix water doesn't exist in the city of New York.
Day 84: Spring has sprung in Macy's Herald Square. Pretty flowers everywhere!

Until Next Time

Photo A Day | Week 11

This week was another concert, happy hour, out of town friends, and wine ice cream!

Day 71: A beautiful day in the neighborhood!
Day 72: We went to see the Ellie Goulding concert at Madison Square Garden. We had so much fun dancing and singing along!
Day 73: We ended a busy week with happy hour at a fun taco place in our neighborhood.
Day 74: Saturday brunch with friends at The Grey Dog in Chelsea. I recommend the breakfast quesadillas!
Day 75: Keslie is in town! We went to dinner and while walking through Madison Square Park we stopped by Shake Shack to take photos under the twinkle lights.
Day 76: Keaton is also in town! Grabbed a quick drink to celebrate St. Patrick's day before eating dinner at Eataly
Day 77: Midterms call for wine ice cream as a study treat! One of our better ideas :)

Until Next Time

Photo A Day | Week 10

This week included haircuts, colds, concerts, shopping, yummy food, and the most uncomfortable 3 hours of TV we have ever watched.

Day 64: One of us got a hair cut. The other one has a cold.
Day 65: Apparently getting a hair cut is so exhausting that you have to stay in bed until 6PM
Day 66: Off to New Jersey to see Demi Lovato
Day 67: An afternoon spent in Soho shopping and eating macarons from Laduree
Day 68: A relaxing Sunday after a busy week that included a trip to the pet store for Pixie food. Ashley was feeling generous so she also got some new treats.
Day 69: While we watched the conclusion to the worst Bachelor season in history we enjoyed these yummy polenta stacks Ashley created with italian sausage, pesto, and tomatoes.
Day 70: It was 64 degrees outside! And that calls for an afternoon iced coffee which was picked up after a second trip to the pharmacy within a week for more kleenex and cold medicine.

Until Next Time

Weekend Wrap Up

Our weekend started off with a little trip to New Jersey to see Demi Lovato in concert. We are fans of her new album and were excited to see a fun girly show. Shelby was particularly excited for her opening act- Little Mix. The whole concert was great apart from the weird magic guy from America's Got talent that came on stage to do tricks between bands.

On the bus to New Jersey excited to see the show!
Ready for Demi!
Such a good live performer

We loved the show!!

On Saturday morning Shelby had brunch plans with friends. It was the first warmish day of the year so we took advantage and I met her in Soho for a little afternoon shopping. It's been so long since we've actually enjoyed being outside for an extended period of time!

First stop was Alex and Ani so Shelby could pick up a couple of the bracelets she's been wanting. If you haven't heard of this jewelry line you should check it out. They have super cute stuff and they are kind of like an updated version of the charm bracelet.
We were walking around Soho and saw someone with a Laduree bag. We had forgotten that they recently opened a location in Soho. So, we made a little detour to pick up some macarons.
I had actually never been to a Laduree before. I never made it there in Paris and I haven't actually been to the Upper East Side location in NYC although I've had macarons Shelby has brought home from there before.
Such pretty colors and yummy flavor options!
Breaking my no sugar for lent rule for this macaron. Oops.
This green apple one was my favorite by far. SO GOOD!

After our macaron break we continued with our shopping spree. After awhile we were tired of walking and hungry again so we stopped into a cute little pub for brunch (Shelby's second brunch of the day).

Brinkley's on Broome Street was a great restaurant to stumble upon. They had a great brunch selection. I recommend the veggie burger if you ever stop by.
These blood orange margarita's were pretty yummy too :)

Until Next Time

Photo A Day | Week 9

This week was filled with work, school, the Oscars, and sore throats.
Day 57: Ashley and her intern Pixie had to take some mid-work day selfies to stop from going crazy mid-week.

Day 58: Just keeping it real. Shelby doing the dishes after dinner. She is saying "don't take my picture". (wait until she sees I posted on here, he he -A)
Day 59: After a long week we decided we needed to hang out with our old friends Ben and Jerry.
Day 60: Ashley woke up with a sore throat. Also known as day one of a seemingly never ending cold.
Day 61: Oscar day! We always fill out ballets and watch the red carpet then all the awards. Obviously being in fashion we love seeing what everyone is wearing. Ashley has gotten particularly good at guessing the winners the past couple of years.
Day 62: Sometimes you just need that Monday afternoon treat to get you through the day. We've never met a black and white cookie we haven't liked.
Day 63: Shelby is giving up Starbucks for lent (really for no other reason than to save money). Ashley thinks she's not going to last a week. Ashley is giving up gluten and sugar. That also may not last, ha ha.

Hope you're all having a fabulous week!
Until Next Time
